Issue:
Customer is running into issues while attempting to add costing to jobs through bills and receiving a message that costing cannot be added to the closed job and wants to know why this is and how to resolve.
Resolution:
If you are attempting to tie bill costing to a job and a message is being received that costing cannot be added to a closed job, then this is due to the Job Type not allowing this.
If you are receiving this as a message and want to add costing that is tied to a closed job and receiving that message, then:
Go to SedonaSetup.
Go to Job Types in the JM (Job Management) area.
Select the Job Type that you are having difficulty with adding costing to.
In the Job Type Setup there is a selectable box labeled as Allow Costing to Closed Jobs.
If you wish for this Job Type to have costing added to it when it is closed, then mark the Allow Costing to Closed Jobs box.
